Toilet Manufacturer TOTO Announces Resignation of Deputy President Director
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Listed bathroom equipment issuer PT Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk (TOTO) has announced the resignation of Deputy President Director Hiroshi Tomonari.
The resignation was received via a letter on 4 May 2026. For the time being, no explanation has been provided regarding the reasons for Tomonari’s departure from this manufacturer of Toto-brand toilets and showers.
“The Company’s Board of Directors has received a resignation letter from the Company’s Deputy President Director, Mr Hiroshi Tomonari,” as quoted from the Indonesia Stock Exchange disclosure, Tuesday (5/5/2026).
The decision on Hiroshi Tomonari’s resignation will be formalised through a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) in accordance with applicable regulations. The company also emphasised that there is no other material information or facts accompanying the resignation.
According to the company’s official website, Hiroshi Tomonari joined TOTO Ltd. in 1995. This Japanese national was appointed as the Company’s Deputy President Director on 25 May 2021.
He completed his Doctoral Programme at the University of Tokyo in 1995. He has no affiliation, either direct or indirect, with the Major Shareholders and Controllers, members of the Board of Commissioners, or up to the individual owners.
In line with the news, TOTO shares fell 0.76% to Rp260 at the close of the morning trading session today. Its market capitalisation stands at Rp2.69 trillion.
