Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed 0.72% higher at 6,206.35 on Monday’s trading session (25 May).

The index’s gains were supported by banking and automotive stocks, including PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk rising 3.93%, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk up 3.39%, and PT Astra International Tbk increasing 3.70%.

Conversely, the biggest losses came from PT Barito Pacific Tbk, down 7.79%, PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk falling 11.93%, and PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk correcting 9.12%. Foreign investors recorded net selling of Rp2.09 trillion in the regular market and Rp2.22 trillion across all markets.

Sector-wise, six of eleven sectors closed in positive territory. The transportation sector led gains with a 3.83% rise, while energy saw the deepest decline at 2.04%. US stock markets were closed on Monday local time for Memorial Day holiday.

For today’s trading, the IHSG is expected to consolidate, supported by positive sentiment from Iran-US peace negotiations, which are seen as easing global geopolitical tensions. Additionally, the delay in full implementation of the DSI export policy until 1 January 2027 has drawn market attention.

However, profit-taking ahead of the long holiday is expected to limit upside potential. Meanwhile, the offshore MSCI Indonesia index rose 1.70%.

On the corporate front, PT Solusi Environment Asia Tbk has joined a Waste-to-Energy consortium with Chinese firm Zhejiang Weiming via its subsidiary PT Ananta Energi Asia.

The consortium will manage two Danantara Waste-to-Power (PSEL) facilities in the Denpasar and Bogor areas. Zhejiang Weiming is recognised as one of the world’s largest PSEL operators, with waste-based electricity production reaching 4.62 billion kWh in 2025.

The partnership presents long-term revenue opportunities for SOFA through a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with state utility PT PLN at a fixed tariff of $0.20 per kWh. Technically, SOFA’s shares are in a mini-base pattern, with potential to rise to Rp384 per share.

In the pharmaceutical distribution sector, PT Millennium Pharmacon International Tbk aims for Rp5 trillion in revenue by 2026, a 21.68% increase from its 2025 forecast of Rp4.1 trillion. The company also targets a net profit of Rp60 billion, up 55.98% from the previous year’s estimate of Rp38.46 billion.

To support these targets, SDPC is completing construction of a central warehouse in Bekasi, designed to triple current capacity.

Warehouse construction is 95% complete and entering finalisation and commissioning stages. Additionally, branch expansions in Kupang and Kendari are priorities, each expected to contribute approximately Rp5 billion monthly in revenue.

Meanwhile, PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk has set a 2025 cash dividend of Rp270 per share, totalling Rp775.49 billion. This represents 30% of the net profit attributable to the parent company’s shareholders.

SMAR’s 2025 performance showed positive growth, with revenue rising 10.29% to Rp86.95 trillion from Rp78.84 trillion. Net profit attributable to parent company shareholders surged 102.23% to Rp2.58 trillion from Rp1.28 trillion the previous year, with earnings per share increasing to Rp900 from Rp445.

On the last trading day of 25 May, SMAR shares closed at Rp5,225 per share, reflecting a dividend yield of approximately 5.17%. The ex-dividend date is scheduled for 4 June 2026, with payments to follow on 18 June 2026.
