Today's Food Prices: Red Bird's Eye Chilli Reaches Rp 57,050 per Kg

The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS) recorded that the price of red bird’s eye chilli reached Rp 57,050 per kilogram, while chicken eggs stood at Rp 29,100 per kg on Tuesday morning. Based on data from PIHPS released in Jakarta on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, other nationally recorded retail food prices included shallots at Rp 52,000 per kg and garlic at Rp 46,850 per kg. Meanwhile, lower-quality rice I was priced at Rp 14,300 per kg, lower-quality rice II at Rp 14,050 per kg, medium-quality rice I at Rp 15,500 per kg, and medium-quality rice II at Rp 14,600 per kg. Super-quality rice I was recorded at Rp 17,250 per kg, and super-quality rice II at Rp 16,050 per kg. PIHPS also noted the price of large red chillies at Rp 43,050 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp 48,850 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp 33,750 per kg. Fresh broiler chicken meat was priced at Rp 35,950 per kg, while quality I beef was Rp 138,300 per kg and quality II beef was Rp 131,400 per kg. For other commodities, premium granulated sugar was recorded at Rp 21,000 per kg and local granulated sugar at Rp 18,650 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp 20,600 per litre, branded cooking oil package I at Rp 25,550 per litre, and branded cooking oil package II at Rp 23,950 per litre.
