Today Only! Ride Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT for Just Rp 1

On this special day, Friday (24/4/2026), rides on Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta cost only Rp 1. This policy is provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to commemorate National Transportation Day. “Happy National Transportation Day on 24 April. We welcome it by providing facilities for ease or free rides,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in a video post on his personal Instagram account, quoted Friday (24/4/2026). The DKI Provincial Government hopes the public will take advantage of the opportunity to directly experience the available public transportation services, so that in the future more residents switch to mass transit. This step is also expected to contribute to reducing congestion and curbing air pollution levels in Jakarta, which remain major urban challenges. Meanwhile, from an operational perspective, Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta Ayu Wardhani explained that although the service is free, the system still records user trips with a symbolic Rp 1 fare. Users are still required to tap cards or apps when using the service. “Through the Rp 1 fare, we want to provide convenience while encouraging more residents to switch to public transport as an efficient and sustainable mobility choice,” said Ayu.
