Today and Tomorrow, Ride MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta for Just Rp 1
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is implementing a promotional fare of Rp 1 for MRT, LRT, and TransJakarta, which can be enjoyed by all public transport users, both residents and tourists, on 21-22 March 2026.
“Enjoy public transport fares of just Rp 1 for TransJakarta services (BRT, Non-BRT, Transjabodetabek), MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta (Velodrome – Pegangsaan Dua). This promotion is valid for 2 days (21 and 22 March 2026),” stated the official Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta on Thursday (19/3/2026).
The Rp 1 public transport fare applies to TransJakarta services, BRT routes, non-BRT, and TransJabodetabek, as well as MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta on the Velodrome-Pegangsaan Dua route.
Payment methods for the Rp 1 public transport fare also include the JakLingko and MyMRTJ applications.
Meanwhile, Mikrotrans and TransJakarta Cares services are included in the free transport modes that can already be enjoyed at Rp 0, including on regular days.
Furthermore, MRT will implement a weekend operational pattern during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period, which runs from 18–24 March 2026.
During this period, MRT Jakarta services will operate from 05:00 to 00:00 WIB, with an interval of 10 minutes between train arrivals.
Specifically on the night of Takbiran, MRT Jakarta’s operational hours will be extended until 01:00 WIB.
MRT Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary Division Head, Rendy Primartantyo, stated that all 13 stations will continue to operate according to these provisions, serving a total of 219 train trips with seven train sets, as quoted by Kompas.com.
Rendy emphasised that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, MRT Jakarta will maintain service standards to ensure optimal operations.
He also urged the public to remain orderly, keep clean, and follow the instructions of officers while using MRT Jakarta services during the holiday period.
MRT Jakarta is also presenting several attractive programmes during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, including edutourism in collaboration with the Jakarta Experience Board, point-of-interest promotions via the MyMRTJ application, and various activities held around station areas.
