To the Last Drop of Blood, Hezbollah Declares Readiness for 'Karbala' War Against Zionist Israel

A senior source within Lebanon’s Hezbollah party told Al Jazeera on Saturday, 15 March 2026, that the party is prepared to face a “Karbala battle” against Israel.

The official threatened that Israel would pay an extremely steep price if it launched a ground invasion of Lebanon. The leader added that the resistance movement stands ready to confront any attempt at a ground assault by the enemy and will continue to do so.

“We understand that the enemy has decided to wage war against us and is waiting for the right moment to do so,” the official stated.

The leader further commented: “Our management of the conflict with Israel is conducted over a prolonged timeframe… The ‘Asf al-Ma’kul’ operation confirms that enemy attacks have not weakened the resistance’s readiness to face them.”

The Hezbollah party leader emphasised that his organisation has not yet received any serious negotiation initiatives to date, whilst noting that the battlefield is now the arena for dialogue.

Meanwhile, an official Lebanese source reported to Al Jazeera that Lebanon continues to prepare the formation of a negotiation delegation with Israel as a step towards discussing ways to halt escalation on the southern border. The same source stated that Lebanon’s parliamentary speaker has not approved the participation of representatives from the Shia duo in the delegation.
