To Tackle Congestion, Kartini Road U-turn in Depok to be Closed Starting Monday

The Depok Metro Police Traffic Unit and the Depok City Transportation Agency will implement traffic engineering measures to reduce congestion on Jalan Kartini, Depok. To address this, the U-turn on the said road will be closed starting tomorrow.

“In order to improve traffic flow and reduce density during peak hours,” wrote the @officialdishubkotadepok Instagram account, as seen on Sunday (2/8/2026).

“The Depok City Transportation Agency, together with the Depok Metro Police, is implementing the closure of the U-turn access on Jalan Kartini (Stadela),” it added.

The U-turn closure will take effect on Monday, 3 August 2026. The restrictions will be in place from 06:00 to 08:00 WIB and 17:00 to 20:00 WIB.

“This traffic engineering is being applied to support the smooth mobility of the public, particularly during hours of high activity,” the agency stated.

Depok’s Transportation Agency advises all road users to obey traffic signs, follow the directions of officers on the ground, and utilise the alternative routes that have been provided.
