To Support Governance Efficiency, Markets in Kupang Adopt Bank Mantap's Digital Services
Efforts to accelerate digitalisation in the traditional trade sector continue to expand. PT Bank Mandiri Taspen (Bank Mantap) has entered into a partnership with Perumda Pasar Kota Kupang to deliver a modern, secure, transparent and efficient system for market retribution payments and trader transactions.
The partnership was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the Digitalisation of Retribution and Trader Transactions at Kupang City Markets, held in the Umera Kofie Meeting Room on Tuesday (15/9). The event was attended by Bank Mandiri Taspen Director of Funding (Retail & Network) Rizky Olyvia Nasution and Director of Perumda Pasar Kota Kupang Ganda Raymond Tadjo Tallo, along with staff from both institutions.
Through this partnership, Bank Mandiri Taspen will provide digital banking services to support the transaction management of Perumda Pasar Kota Kupang, including through Mantap Cash Management (MCM). Perumda Pasar Kota Kupang will also make use of Virtual Accounts (VA) and QRIS for the payment of dues, service fees and other payment obligations from stall tenants, traders, vendors and users of market services.
Rizky Olyvia Nasution, Director of Funding (Retail & Network) at Bank Mandiri Taspen, said the digitalisation is expected to improve transaction convenience for traders while supporting more effective and transparent market governance.
“The signing of this cooperation agreement is not merely a ceremony, but a concrete step towards building a more modern, transparent, convenient and inclusive market ecosystem through digital services. We hope retribution payments can be made easily, quickly, securely and with a proper record, thereby delivering benefits to the regional government, market managers and, of course, the traders themselves,” Rizky said in his remarks.
According to her, digital transformation is not only about the use of technology, but also about delivering added value to the community. Going forward, Rizky added, the partnership has the potential to be developed through QRIS, online account opening and other banking services to support business activities and improve traders’ financial inclusion.
Meanwhile, Ganda Raymond Tadjo Tallo, Director of Perumda Pasar Kota Kupang, affirmed that the collaboration is an answer to the challenges of the times. With the shift from a manual to a digital system, market businesses can transact more easily, practically and securely.
“Perumda Pasar Kota Kupang’s management also benefits enormously, as the monitoring of revenue and cash flow can now be tracked in real time and much more quickly,” Ganda said.
Through this synergy, both parties are optimistic they can drive digitally based regional economic growth, strengthen the competitiveness of local traders and broaden financial inclusion.
