To Strengthen Silaturahmi, the Ministry of Home Affairs Holds an Iftar and Ramadan Sermon
The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) hosted an iftar gathering and a religious sermon at the An-Nuur Mosque, the ministry’s headquarters in Jakarta, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The event, featuring speaker Ustaz Hilman Fauzi, was attended by all staff within the Kemendagri.
In his remarks, Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian urged all staff to be grateful for the blessings from God, the Almighty. In the holy month of Ramadan, he said, all staff can continue worship with reverence and in good health. He also urged contemplation, self-reflection, and acts of kindness.
Moreover, he noted that Kemendagri plays a significant role as the custodian and supervisor of regional governments. The ministry also has duties to accelerate reconstruction and rehabilitation in post-disaster Sumatra, and to coordinate efforts to curb regional inflation. These tasks require coordination and strong unity among staff.
“I only hope one thing for you all,” the minister said, “that during this holy Ramadan we truly use it to improve and introspect ourselves.”
If all staff uphold integrity in carrying out their duties, the minister believes every task entrusted will receive blessings. As head of the Kemendagri and the National Border Management Agency (BNPP), he hopes the staff can strengthen their faith optimally. He urged everyone to use the Ramadan moment to increase their rewards.
“And I pray that we all will receive blessings from Allah the Almighty in carrying out our duties,” he concluded.
During the event, the minister and colleagues handed aid to orphans and other staff in need. In a solemn atmosphere, he listened to the religious sermon delivered by Ustaz Hilman Fauzi.
Attending the event were, among others, TP PKK Chairman Tri Tito Karnavian, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto, Deputy Minister Akhmad Wiyagus, TP PKK Expert Staff for Strengthening Family Food Security Yane Bima Arya, and senior and middle-ranking officials within the Kemendagri.
