To Strengthen Bonds, Vice President Attends Open House at Merdeka Palace

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President (Wapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriyah open house organised by President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace on Saturday. According to an official statement received in Jakarta on Saturday, the Vice President arrived at Merdeka Palace at 3:00 PM WIB accompanied by his wife, Selvi Ananda, and was welcomed by the Minister for State Secretariat (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi. Subsequently, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the President, along with the Vice President and members of the Merah Putih Cabinet, mingled and interacted during the Eid greetings on this day of victory. On this occasion, President Prabowo also greeted members of the public who had eagerly waited to exchange greetings directly with the head of state. The event provided a warm space for leaders and the public to meet, exchange greetings, and strengthen unity amid diversity. The agenda aligns with the President’s policy that emphasises creating an inclusive Eid al-Fitr atmosphere that favours the public, in line with the spirit of togetherness and social care. The Eid al-Fitr moment brought an atmosphere of joy in a familiar and simple togetherness. “Indeed, we do not limit or organise it as usual events. For example, like the 17 August event, we give the opportunity to the public who wish to attend voluntarily; they are welcome as long as it is still possible, we allow them to enter the palace grounds,” said the State Secretary. The open house was also attended by the 7th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), along with his extended family, members of the Merah Putih Cabinet ministers and deputy ministers, state institution leaders, and ambassadors from friendly countries.
