REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – The trial for the alleged corruption case involving the defendant, former Bekasi Regent Ade Kunang, and his father HM Kunang, was held again at the Bandung District Court on Monday (11/5/2026). It was revealed that the defendants’ cunning ploy in the alleged corruption case in Bekasi involved appointing a driver as a company director to obtain project packages from the Bekasi Regency Government.

The public prosecutor (JPU) presented five witnesses: three entrepreneurs and two civil servants from the Bekasi Regency Government. They were Rudin, Director of PT Tirta Jaya Mandiri; Nadih, Director of CV Singkil Berkah Anugerah; and Nesin, Director of CV Denis Putra Jaya.

Prosecutor Tony Indra began by eliciting statements from the three entrepreneur witnesses, who were known to be agents of the briber Sarjan. Rudin was formerly an angkot driver who was asked by his brother Sarjan to serve as the managing director.

“I initially worked at Sarjan’s company and was asked to become a director. Previously, I was an angkot driver,” he said to the JPU on Monday (11/5/2026).

After hearing that testimony, the JPU read out the examination minutes (BAP) regarding Rudin, who was appointed as the managing director by Sarjan. This was done to obtain several projects from the Bekasi Regency Government.

Rudin admitted that he initially did not know he was a shadow director. However, he now claims to be aware.
