To Replace a Lost Land Certificate, You Need to Obtain a Land Registration Certificate

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - People who have lost their land certificates need to obtain a Land Registration Certificate (SKPT) as one of the requirements in the certificate replacement process.

The SKPT is a written document containing physical and legal data regarding a plot of land as it appears on the registration map, land register, survey map, and land book, which is open to the public.

The Director of Land and Spatial Registration, Land Deed Making Official (PPAT) and Partner Affairs at the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Ana Anida, said that the SKPT is an official document containing information about a registered plot of land.

This includes the ownership status, the identity of the owner, and other records contained in the land administration.

“The SKPT for auction purposes can be requested by the Head of the State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), while the SKPT for providing information can be requested by parties who have an interest by attaching proof of legal relationship with the land in question,” said Ana, quoted from the website of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Saturday (16/5/2026).

It turns out that the SKPT can be obtained online or directly at the local land office.
