To Prevent Public Disorder, Police Set Up 22 Monitoring Posts in Tangerang City
These monitoring posts are being deployed to anticipate various potential disruptions to public order, such as theft, robbery, motorcycle theft, brawls, illegal racing, motorcycle gangs, and the possession of sharp weapons,” said Tangerang City Police Chief Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari in a statement on Saturday (16/5/2026).
The activity began with an assembly and briefing for security personnel at each police precinct. Subsequently, joint officers conducted patrols across different areas, engaging in dialogue with residents, and establishing strong points at several vulnerable locations during specific times.
The police also visited neighbourhood watch posts to engage in dialogue with residents, community leaders, and housing security officers to provide public order guidance. Officers also carried out inspections and searches on groups of teenagers and young people suspected of committing criminal acts.
Jauhari stated that the ‘creating a conducive environment’ operation is a form of Polri’s presence within the community to provide a sense of safety and comfort. During the implementation of the activity, the situation in the jurisdiction of the Tangerang City Police was reported as safe and conducive, with no significant incidents occurring.
“Patrols and monitoring posts will continue to be intensified, especially in areas considered vulnerable to security disturbances,” he added.
