To Prevent Operational Deviations, All Pertamina Ships Equipped with Digital Monitoring System
Pertamina, through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, continues to strengthen the management of national energy distribution by utilising digital technology, particularly through an integrated ship fleet monitoring system.
Director of Logistics Fleet at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Arif Yunianto, assured that with this integrated monitoring system, the company now has better visibility into fleet movements.
“This allows us to respond to operational dynamics more quickly and maintain the accuracy of energy distribution across various regions,” said Arif in his statement on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
“The system is also equipped with fraud detection features to identify potential operational deviations,” he added.
Arif explained that this system enhancement is also supported by the implementation of Enhanced Daily Tanker Position (EDTP) 3.0, which brings improved system stability and more comprehensive operational data integration. The management of this system is carried out through the Command Centre at Pertamina’s Head Office, which serves as the central hub for daily monitoring of both owned and chartered ships.
From this room, fleet movements are monitored comprehensively, from position and speed to progress on each distribution route. Through an integrated data-based system, monitoring is conducted in real-time, providing a more complete visibility of fleet movements.
“These steps enable the operational team to anticipate potential delays and make adjustments more quickly and accurately,” said Arif.
Furthermore, Arif explained that the system is also equipped with alert and reporting features, allowing early detection of various operational conditions. Thus, decision-making can be done more quickly and based on data.
In addition, Arif continued, digitalisation also drives transparency in energy distribution management, including through the use of a monitoring system that can be accessed jointly with chartered ship partners. The utilisation of features such as geofencing and integration of geographical data, including weather and shipping routes, further supports more accurate operational decision-making.
This system is also monitored by the Pertamina Integrated Digital Command Center (PIDCC) or Pertamina Hub, an integrated digital control centre that consolidates various operational data in real-time on a single platform.
