To Prevent Easter Traffic Jams, JTT Prepares 29 Tow Trucks and Mobile Readers
JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is ensuring that services remain optimal and on standby across all sections of the Trans-Java Toll Road during the Easter holiday period. This effort is being carried out through the optimisation of operational services to maintain the smoothness, security, and comfort of road users’ journeys. Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that JTT consistently maintains service quality across all sections through integrated operational readiness. JTT is optimising services on four main sections, namely the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, the Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Semarang Sections A, B, C Toll Road, and the Surabaya-Gempol Toll Road. At transaction points, JTT is operating toll booths to maximum capacity and preparing Mobile Readers (MR) to anticipate potential increases in vehicle volume, particularly during peak travel hours. Traffic conditions are monitored in real-time through CCTV integrated with the information control centre and supported by Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to provide the latest information to road users. In terms of Rest and Service Area (TIP) services, JTT, together with rest area managers, is ensuring the availability of public facilities such as toilets, clean water, parking areas, as well as cleanliness and environmental security to support road users’ comfort during their journeys. JTT is also continuously coordinating with the Police to anticipate potential traffic congestion, including the implementation of traffic engineering if necessary according to the Police’s discretion. Road users are also urged to comply with signs and instructions from on-site officers for collective safety.
