To mark International Women's Day, female workers stage a protest in front of the DPR RI

Jakarta, 7 March 2026 — Protesters from the female wing of the Partai Buruh carried placards as they took part in International Women’s Day 2026, Suara Marsinah, in front of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) building in Jakarta. They demanded that the government promote recognition of reproductive social labour such as caregiving, child-rearing and domestic management as contributions to the economy, society, legal framework and culture. They also used message boards to voice their criticisms.
