Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Pertamina (Persero), through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, is celebrating National Customer Day 2026 by sharing 8,100 portions of Ayam Kecap Rempah Nusantara with customers and the wider community. All the dishes were cooked together using Bright Gas by customers, micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), and communities, then distributed free of charge through petrol stations, orphanages, and social institutions.

The commemoration of National Customer Day serves as a moment for Pertamina Patra Niaga to appreciate the trust and loyalty of its customers. Through communal cooking and food-sharing activities, Pertamina Patra Niaga created a space for togetherness with customers whilst extending benefits to the community.

The simultaneous cooking event took place in eight Indonesian cities: Jakarta, Medan, Palembang, Semarang, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Jayapura, with the main event held at Plaza Timur Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta. RU Cilacap also joined the celebration by contributing 150 portions of food. The festivities were supported through collaborations with Idealife and Quantum.

The Chief Executive Officer of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, said the activity was a form of appreciation for the trust customers have placed in the company throughout its journey.

“Customers are an important part of the journey of PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, therefore through today’s activities we present our deepest appreciation to customers and to the community,” said Ega, quoted on Monday (7/9/2026).

In Jakarta, 2,850 portions of food were prepared for customers and the public. Meanwhile, each of the other seven cities prepared 750 portions, bringing the total food distributed to 8,100 portions. The preparation and distribution of the food was supervised to ensure the dishes reached recipients in good condition.

In Jakarta, food distribution to customers reached five areas through the Fatmawati petrol station in South Jakarta, the Hang Lekir station in Central Jakarta, the Kalimalang station in East Jakarta, the Joglo station in West Jakarta, and the Kelapa Gading station in North Jakarta.

The benefits of the event were felt directly by online motorcycle taxi drivers who received food at the Hang Lekir petrol station.

“It really helps us ojol drivers on the road like this, especially as it happens to be lunchtime, so it is very helpful,” said Marja.

The simultaneous cooking event also formed part of the Bright Gas Cooking Competition (BGCC) 2026 series, which provides a platform for the public to be creative and showcase the culinary richness of the archipelago. Through the experience of cooking together and sharing food, Pertamina Patra Niaga strengthens its relationship with customers whilst delivering direct benefits to the community.

Carrying the theme “Archipelago Heritage from the Heart, Set an Indonesian Record”, the event also aimed to break a MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) record through simultaneous cooking across eight cities. The spirit of setting this record complemented the National Customer Day celebration, which emphasised appreciation for customers, togetherness, and care for the community.
