BRI distributed aid in the form of 2,000 food packages to the Hindu community in Angseri Village, Tabanan, and Sarimekar Village, Buleleng, Bali, some time ago. The BRI Peduli corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme was held to commemorate Nyepi Day, the New Year of Saka 1948.

BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny stated that the distribution of food aid represents the red-plate bank’s commitment to fulfilling its social responsibilities while strengthening ties with the community, particularly the Hindu community celebrating Nyepi Day. “The distribution of this food aid is part of BRI’s commitment to continue delivering tangible benefits to the community while reinforcing the spirit of sharing during Nyepi Day,” he said in a press release on Thursday (19/3/2026).

As part of Danantara, Dhanny said BRI aims to support the creation of sustainable community welfare. The state-owned enterprise continues to strive to provide positive impacts, especially for communities in areas that need it.

Head of Angseri Village Nyoman Warnata appreciated the aid provided by BRI Peduli. According to Warnata, the aid greatly helps the community in meeting basic needs, especially ahead of Nyepi Day, which is associated with increased household requirements.

“We in Angseri Village feel greatly assisted, as this aid certainly lightens the burden on our community. We hope this synergy continues between the people of Angseri Village and BRI,” he said.

Residents of Sarimekar Village echoed similar sentiments. They welcomed the aid warmly. BRI Peduli is seen not only as providing material assistance but also as strengthening a sense of togetherness and social care within the community.

For information, Angseri Village is one of the 2023 BRILian Villages that received an award as the Village with the Best Governance due to the optimal management of water resources utilised for the benefit of the village residents. This success makes Angseri Village an example of a village capable of managing local potential effectively and sustainably.
