To Boost Banten's Development, Bank BJB Strengthens Collaboration with Local Government

Bank BJB is strengthening regional development synergy in Banten Province through strategic collaboration with local government and various stakeholders on Tuesday (21/4/2026) in South Tangerang City. This step is part of Bank BJB’s active role as a Regional Development Bank (BPD) in promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

The event was attended by Banten Governor Andra Soni, along with Deputy Chairman of the Banten Provincial DPRD Yudi Budi Wibowo and Deputy Chairman of the South Tangerang City DPRD Maria Teresa Suhardja. Also present were Acting President Director of Bank BJB Ayi Subarna, Director of Consumer and Retail Nunung Suhartini, executives of Bank BJB, and the Commissioner representing Bank Banten who also serves as Assistant for General Administration at the Banten Provincial Secretariat Rina Dewiyanti. Additionally, President Director and Business Director of Bank Banten, Muhammad Busthami and Slamet Riyadi, were in attendance.

Acting President Director of Bank BJB Ayi Subarna stated that Banten’s continuously growing economic potential requires solid and integrated financial ecosystem support. Therefore, Bank BJB is opening wide spaces for collaboration with all stakeholders, including the provincial government, regency/city governments, business actors, and regional financial institutions.

“Synergy is the key to accelerating regional development. Bank BJB is ready to play an active role as a strategic partner for local governments in Banten in providing adaptive, innovative financial solutions oriented towards community needs,” said Ayi.

Bank BJB also views the importance of strengthening collaboration among regional banks in a complementary framework. This is done while upholding principles of professionalism, good governance, and respecting the structures and strategic partnerships that have been running in each institution.

The collaboration being built is directed towards strengthening priority sectors, such as SME financing, regional infrastructure development, digitalisation of financial services, and increasing community financial inclusion. Bank BJB is also continuously promoting digital-based service innovations to support efficiency and ease of access for customers in the Banten region.

Bank BJB is committed to supporting local government programmes oriented towards improving community welfare, including in regional financial management, distribution of productive credit, and local economic empowerment.
