PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta suggests that customers utilise Jatinegara Station as the main alternative departure point on Saturday (28/3/2026). This step is taken to avoid potential traffic density around Gambir Station due to a cheap bazaar event in the Monas area. Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, stated that this Extraordinary Stop (BLB) policy is implemented alongside the cheap bazaar event in the Monas area, running from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM WIB. The event is expected to trigger heavy traffic flow towards Gambir Station, so customers are given the option to board from Jatinegara Station. “We are preparing Jatinegara Station as an alternative so that customers can still travel safely and comfortably, especially during congestion in the afternoon to evening,” Franoto said in his statement on Saturday (28/3/2026). With this additional stop, customers can continue their journey without being hindered by traffic conditions. Although there is an adjustment to the stops, Franoto assured that the train departure schedules remain in accordance with the tickets purchased by customers. “Departure schedules remain as per the ticket. We urge customers to arrive earlier and adjust their journey to the station,” he said. Several trains departing from Gambir Station that will stop at Jatinegara Station on Saturday (28/3/2026) include: KAI once again emphasises that the public should utilise Jatinegara Station as an alternative departure point to avoid density around Gambir Station triggered by activities in the Monas area.
