PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has distributed a supply of 27,000 3kg LPG cylinders in East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This is in response to the shortage of 3kg LPG in the area. Residents even fainted while queuing at LPG depots. “Checks have been carried out and we ensure that distribution is running normally and smoothly from the SPPBE level to the depots, as a form of mitigation. Pertamina has carried out additional distribution during this long holiday period this week of 17,000 cylinders to the people of East Lombok and surrounding areas, which amounts to 50% of the normal allocation,” said Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, on Sunday (5/4/2026). Pertamina is also conducting a market operation for the next three days. According to Ahad, this is one of the efforts to ensure that the 3kg LPG stock is safe in the field. “We are also carrying out a market operation for the next three days, which has started today,” said Ahad. Ahad explained that in this market operation, the company will add the amount of 3kg LPG to be distributed to East Lombok, namely 24,000 cylinders or around 70% of the normal allocation. This addition is carried out as an effort to meet public demand, especially at critical points. “Today, the market operation will be carried out through additional allocation to depots. For the next two days, it will be carried out at critical points in coordination with the local government,” said Ahad. To avoid spikes in demand, the company has also asked agents to prioritise depots with the highest demand. Then, continued Ahad, at the depot level, to prioritise sales to direct consumers at the highest retail price (HET) of Rp18,000. “We reiterate to all agents and depots that distribution must be on target and always check diligently regarding final sales to consumers. If any provision is not complied with by agents or official Pertamina depots, we impose sanctions in the form of stopping allocation up to termination of business relations,” emphasised Ahad.
