TNT is dangerous

I do not deny any international express delivery company the right to make as much profit as possible. But the calculations must be justified, and the local agent must be ready to give an acceptable breakdown of the costs.

In my case, I received a consignment (consisting of two directories, without any commercial value) and I was charged US$9.33 (Rp 85,267).

Very little can be done in such cases here, as the customs officials do not always do things with the highest level of integrity. Everyone knows that, and you cannot get away it.

But, I do not accept under any circumstances that TNT (Skypak Indonesia) had the right to bill me another $25 on their invoice as the recipient. What is their justification? And where is the receipt that this amount had to be paid to a third party?

The consignment was "free on board" (FOB), and through stupidity I paid the invoice of TNT/Skippack.

I complained to TNT by Fax at 525-773 complete with all documentation on Aug. 16, 2004 with a Reminder. Up until now, I have not received any response from either TNT and/or Skypak.

This is a clear indication that these companies are not interested in the Recipients of the Dispatch, but they forget, that they may well be part of the same company and/or Group.

I expect a reimbursement as per my fax, together with an apology for the unprofessional behavior.
