TNT Indonesian president promoted

JAKARTA: International courier service TNT has appointed Colin
Moran -- previously president director of the firm's Indonesian
unit -- as managing director for Indonesia, Malaysia and
Singapore.

TNT praised Moran for his performance in Indonesia.

"TNT Indonesia, under the management of Moran, has been able
to perform with consistent growth in its express and logistics
business units, despite the regional turmoil during the past few
years," the firm said in a statement.

TNT started its courier business in Indonesia in 1979 under
the name PT Skypak International. In 1995, it opened a logistics
division under the name PT TNT Logistik Indonesia. Both firms now
have about 1,050 workers. -- JP
