TNI speaks out on soldiers guarding Jampidsus official's home
The Head of the TNI Information Centre, Major General Muhamad Nas, stated that the presence of TNI personnel guarding the home of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah was at the request of the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). “The security was provided at the request of the prosecutor’s institution and has been coordinated in accordance with applicable mechanisms and regulations, as per Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2025 concerning the protection of prosecutors in carrying out their duties,” Nas said in a press statement received in Jakarta on Thursday. Nas stated that the security measure is not related to any ongoing legal cases involving the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police. He also assured that the TNI’s presence would not hinder any legal proceedings being handled by the National Police. “Regarding information about searches by the National Police at several locations, that is a separate process and falls under the authority of the National Police,” he said. It was previously reported that the residence of Febrie Adriansyah in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, was guarded by dozens of TNI personnel. Observations indicated that access to the road in front of Febrie’s house had been closed with barriers and was filled with military mini buses.
