TNI Soldiers Fall, Prabowo Expresses Condolences via Instagram

President Prabowo Subianto has conveyed condolences over the deaths of three Indonesian National Army (TNI) soldiers who perished while carrying out duties in a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. Prabowo shared this message via social media platform Instagram.

Through a post on his @prabowo account, the Chairman of the Gerindra Party expressed his sympathies to the families of the soldiers. Prabowo also paid tribute to their service and sacrifices in fulfilling national duties.

In a separate press release, the Indonesian Government’s Communication Agency stated that Prabowo appreciates the dedication of the soldiers. Clashes between the Israeli military and armed groups in southern Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of three TNI soldiers assigned to the UNIFIL mission at the end of March. On 29 March, one TNI soldier was killed, and three others sustained minor to severe injuries. The fallen soldier was Head Soldier Farizal Rhomadhon, a member of the 113/Jaya Sakti Infantry Battalion.

The following day, the Ministry of Defence confirmed the deaths of two more TNI soldiers due to the escalation in Lebanon. The two military personnel who died on Monday, 30 March, were carrying out the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission. They were Captain Inf. Zulmi Aditya Iskandar and Sertu Muhammad Nur Ichwan.

“Two TNI soldiers are reported to have fallen, while two others suffered severe injuries,” said the Head of the Defence Information Bureau at the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait, in his statement on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
