The release of the list of crimes was announced by the Habema Operational Command after troops successfully neutralised Jeki in a shootout that occurred in Pinapa Village, Omukia District, Jeki Murib, (20/4).

“OPM actions cause fear and disrupt community life, including hindering the wheels of the economy and public activities,” said Wirya when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta.

Here is the list of criminal acts committed by Jeki Murib.

  1. Burning of the tower complex in Kago Village, Ilaga District on 15 August 2023.

“In addition, this step is in line with Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2020, which emphasises an integrated approach between security and welfare, with the primary priority on protecting the community and accelerating development in Papua,” explained Wirya.

With this enforcement, Wirya hopes that the Papua region can return to being conducive and the community can carry out activities safely.
