TNI Provides Special Assistance for Pregnant KDKMP Manager Trainees

Commander of the Army Health Centre Education Unit, Colonel (CKM) Shohibul Hilmi, has confirmed that two participants in the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) manager training programme who are pregnant are receiving special assistance. This measure ensures the participants remain healthy and can complete the educational material. “A health worker with midwifery qualifications is assigned to these two students to continuously monitor their development. Alhamdulillah, there have been no complaints so far, and they can participate in activities safely and smoothly,” Shohibul said when met by journalists at the Army Health Centre Education Unit in East Jakarta on Tuesday. Shohibul explained that the pregnancies were only discovered after the students and their peers underwent health tests before starting the education programme. Once their condition was known, instructors placed a special blue mark on the students’ right arms to indicate they require special health attention. According to Shohibul, the pregnant participants are not permitted to take part in outdoor activities such as sports or marching drills. They are also allowed to have their pregnancies checked at an Army hospital facility located near the training site. “They are accompanied for routine weekly check-ups with an obstetrician and receive supplements to support the continuation of their pregnancies,” Shohibul said. In addition to the pregnant participants, Shohibul confirmed that participants with a history of certain illnesses also receive special attention from the medical team. There are 12 participants with medical histories who are receiving special attention from the instructors. With this dedicated service, Shohibul hopes all participants will remain healthy and the education process can proceed smoothly.
