TNI-Polri seize KKB headquarters in Nabire following armed contact

Combined TNI-Polri forces have seized the headquarters of the Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (Armed Criminal Group, KKB) led by Aibon Kogoya located at Kepala Kali Belakang Kapung Kaliharapan in Nabire Regency, Central Papua, on Sunday, 1 March. Following the armed contact, the security forces secured 561 rounds of ammunition and 79 million rupiahs in cash. The operation was confirmed by Kombes Pol Yusuf Sutejo, spokesperson for the Operations Communications Task Force of Operation Peaceful Cartenz 2026, at a briefing in Jayapura on Monday, 2 March.
