TNI-Polri Raid Stall at Cibinong Terminal Bogor, Seize 124 Bottles of Spirits
Combined TNI-Polri forces and local government officials conducted patrols in Bogor Regency, West Java to ensure public safety and order, particularly during the month of Ramadan.
Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto stated that one target location was Cibinong Terminal, where combined forces raided a stall selling spirits (miras).
“We discovered a premises that was still selling spirits. We also secured several individuals who were still consuming alcoholic beverages,” said Wikha on Sunday (1 March 2026).
He warned that spirits have the potential to incite criminal behaviour, including road rage incidents whilst driving.
“For example, when people consume spirits and then ride motorcycles or drive other vehicles, contact with people who are not fully conscious can create larger conflicts,” he noted.
He cited recent incidents involving altercations and public disturbances as examples, stating that raids against illegal alcohol distribution in Bogor Regency would be intensified.
“I also urge the entire community to fill their Ramadan activities with positive and constructive activities so that there are no more incidents, particularly conflicts with the community,” he added.
During the raid, combined forces seized 124 bottles of spirits. He also pledged to continue enforcement action against spirit sellers still operating, particularly during Ramadan.
“We are committed to maintaining security and comfort for the people of Bogor Regency. We emphasise that we will take firm action against premises still selling spirits because we are working to prevent conflicts from occurring in society,” he concluded.
