Commander of the TNI Military Police, Major General TNI Yusri Nuryanto, revealed that the suspects in the acid attack terror against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus are four TNI soldiers.

“This morning I received from the TNI Headquarters Intelligence Detachment four individuals suspected of assaulting Mr Andrie Yunus,” Yusri said during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3).

These four individuals are suspected of being the perpetrators of the terror incident that occurred on 12 March on Jalan Talang and Salemba 1 in Central Jakarta.

“Regarding the four suspected suspects earlier, first with initials NDP, second SL, third BHW, fourth ES,” said Yusri.

Yusri stated that the four suspected suspects have been arrested and are at the TNI Military Police. They are undergoing further investigation, including to determine the motives of the perpetrators.

“These suspects are charged under Article 467 of the Criminal Code, Law No. 1 of 2023. There are paragraphs 1 and 2, where the penalties are already stipulated, some four years, some seven years,” he said.

“Then as a follow-up to our investigation, the TNI Military Police will carry out activities to file a police report. Perhaps later from the victim witness, and carry out temporary detention, and immediately apply for visum et repertum at RSCM,” Yusri added.
