The incident occurred on Saturday (4/7) at approximately 02:44 WITA. It began when the victim got into a fight with the perpetrator in the nightlife venue area and was stabbed. After receiving a report, TNI member K arrived at the location to break up the fight but became a target of the stabbing.

"Based on the statement from D, the assault victim, his family came to the location to seek information about the assault. Upon arrival, they witnessed a commotion involving several people," said Agustinus.

"The TNI member, K, tried to break up the fight but instead became a victim of the stabbing. Shortly after, victim T was found lying in a pool of blood and was immediately evacuated to the hospital," he added.

Based on a medical examination and the Visum et Repertum from the West Sulawesi Police Forensic Team, the deceased victim suffered a slash wound on his left hand and a stab wound to the upper left abdomen, which caused severe bleeding and led to his death.

"The TNI member sustained two stab wounds to the back while trying to break up the fight and is currently undergoing intensive care at Mitra Manakarra Hospital in a conscious state," he said.

Following the incident, the police received a report, conducted an investigation, and arrested one suspect, MAF, who is currently undergoing further questioning.

"At present, the perpetrator is still being examined to uncover the motive and chronology of the incident," he said.
