TNI, Klaten Government Synergise in KBMKB Programme to Accelerate Village Development
The Karya Bakti Mandiri Klaten Bersinar (KBMKB) programme in Malangjiwan Village, Klaten, has successfully completed its physical and non-physical development targets. The cross-sector activity, which began on 25 June, officially concluded on Tuesday (4/8).
The closing ceremony of KBMKB XXXIV/2026 was held with a parade in the Umbul Brondong area, Ngrundul Village, led by Infantry Major Basuki. Also in attendance were the Regent of Klaten, the Police Chief, and officers from the 0723/Klaten Military District Command.
The KBMKB activity is a collaboration between the TNI, the Klaten Regency Government, the Indonesian National Police, and the community. It serves as tangible proof of cross-sector synergy in efforts to accelerate village development through physical and non-physical programmes.
In his address, Major Basuki stated that the implementation of KBMKB is a form of dedication by the TNI and local government to help improve the welfare of rural communities. “The KBMKB programme is not merely about infrastructure development, but also a means to strengthen the unity between the TNI and the people. The success of this programme is the result of cooperation from all parties with a common goal,” he explained.
Major Basuki expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Klaten Regency Government, the Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum, the Indonesian National Police, the Village Government, and the entire community for their full support, which ensured the KBMKB activities ran smoothly. “We hope that all the development results achieved through KBMKB can be well maintained. The spirit of mutual cooperation that has been built should also continue to be maintained as social capital for village development,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Implementing Officer for KBMKB XXXIV/2026 in Malangjiwan Village, Captain Czi Agus Poniman, reported that all physical and non-physical activity targets were successfully completed on schedule with a 100% achievement rate. The completed physical targets included the concreting of a 570-metre road, the construction of a 98-metre road retaining wall, and the rehabilitation or repair of three uninhabitable houses in the village.
In addition to physical development, the KBMKB activity also implemented non-physical programmes, such as counselling on national insight and population administration. This programme aims to improve the quality of community human resources.
Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo expressed his hope that the infrastructure built through KBMKB would have a real impact on improving community welfare, particularly for farmers. The newly built road is expected to facilitate access for transporting agricultural products, smooth the mobility of residents, and increase agricultural sector productivity to boost the local economy. “We urge all residents to maintain and care for all the development results realised through the KBMKB programme, so that the benefits can be felt sustainably by future generations,” he said.
