TNI: Kabais Position Has Been Handed Over Due to Acid Attack Case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - TNI Headquarters stated that the position of Head of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (Kabais), held by Lieutenant General TNI Yudi Abrimantyo, has been handed over as a consequence of the investigation into the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus. “So we need to convey here that, as a form of accountability, the handover of the Kabais position has been carried out today,” said the Head of the Information Centre (Kapuspen) of TNI Headquarters, Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta. Aulia was asked for more details about the meaning of the position handover. Media personnel present sought confirmation on whether the Kabais position had been replaced by another official. However, Aulia did not explain all aspects in detail. It is known that four Bais members, namely Captain NDP, Lieutenant SL, Lieutenant BHW, and Sergeant ES, have been designated as suspected perpetrators of the acid attack on Andrie Yunus. To date, the four suspected perpetrators are still undergoing examination by the TNI’s internal investigation team.
