TNI Inaugurates Two High-Ranking Officers as Commander of Joint Defence Area II and Sesko Commander

The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) has inaugurated two high-ranking officers to fill the positions of Commander of the TNI Staff and Command School (Dansesko TNI) and Commander of Joint Defence Area Command II (Pangkogabwilhan II). The handover ceremony, attended by TNI Chief of General Staff Richard Tampubolon, took place at the Gatot Soebroto Hall, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Wednesday. Richard stated that the handover of duties is part of TNI’s regeneration process to strengthen leadership and ensure continuity of service to the nation and state. During the ceremony, Richard led the transfer of the Dansesko TNI position from Marshal Arif Widianto to Marshal M. Khairil Lubis. Subsequently, the Pangkogabwilhan II position was handed over from Marshal M. Khairil Lubis to Marshal Muzafar. Richard expressed hope that the placement of high-ranking officers in these strategic roles would enable the TNI to become stronger in safeguarding national defence amidst high global dynamics. He emphasised that in the face of global strategic dynamics, operational readiness and leadership quality are determining factors in maintaining the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
