TNI Holds Social and Health Services After Trimatra Exercise in Lingga

Batam, Riau Islands (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) held a social and health service event for the community of Lingga Regency, Riau Islands, after completing the 2026 TNI integrated tri-service exercise. Head of Territorial Staff (Kaster) TNI Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi stated that the activity was part of the exercise series and a form of the TNI’s concern for the community through health services and the distribution of social assistance. “The health service provided various treatments, ranging from general medical check-ups, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid tests, pregnancy examinations, vitamin distribution, to ultrasound (USG) services,” he said when confirmed in Lingga on Wednesday. The activity took place in Kampung Kebun Nyiur, Dabo Singkep District. The services were supported by combined health personnel from the Regional Health Detachment (Denkesyah), the Dabo Singkep Naval Base Clinic, Raja Haji Fisabilillah Air Force Base (RHF), and the Lingga Regency Health Office. In addition to health services, the TNI also distributed 636 food packages to residents of Kampung Kebun Nyiur and Lalang Island. Of that total, 500 packages came from the TNI Headquarters Territorial Staff (Ster) and 136 packages were assistance from the Dabo Singkep Naval Base. “Each food package contains 5 kilograms of premium rice, 1 litre of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of sugar, 370 grams of sweetened condensed milk, coffee, tea bags, and five packets of instant noodles,” said Bambang. The aid was symbolically handed over by the TNI Kaster alongside TNI officials, the Lingga Regency Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and elements of the Lingga Regency Government. Through this collaboration with the Lingga Regency Government, Bambang expressed hope that the activity would further strengthen the unity between the TNI and the people, while helping to improve the welfare and health status of communities in the island region.
