The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) held a press conference in front of the media. TNI stated that it had conducted a meeting with Defence Minister (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin up to TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto regarding internal revitalisation within the TNI body.

This was conveyed by TNI’s Head of Information Centre, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in East Jakarta on Wednesday (25/3/2026). Aulia said the meeting was held today with Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and staff at TNI Headquarters.

“Today, a meeting was held between the Ministry of Defence and TNI, attended by the Defence Minister, Deputy Defence Minister, TNI Commander, Deputy TNI Commander, TNI Chief of Staff, as well as principal officials from the Ministry of Defence and TNI Headquarters, to discuss TNI’s internal revitalisation,” he said.

Aulia stated that this aligns with the directives of President Prabowo Subianto. In those directives, he said, the aim is to strengthen law enforcement and safeguard the honour of state institutions.

“This is carried out in line with the directives of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen law enforcement and maintain the honour of state institutions, which is in accordance with the results of President Prabowo’s interview answering part 2 on 23 March 2026,” he said.

TNI assures that it will take action against any TNI soldiers who commit legal and disciplinary violations. The actions will include strict sanctions, tried in military courts up to dishonourable dismissal.

“TNI reaffirms its commitment to strictly addressing every legal and disciplinary violation committed by TNI soldiers,” said Aulia.

Aulia stated that TNI will not tolerate acts of legal violations or criminal acts committed by soldiers. He said the TNI institution will take firm action in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

“For TNI soldiers who commit legal violations or criminal acts, TNI states that it will not provide tolerance,” he revealed.
