TNI Hands Over Four Suspects in Acid Attack on Andrie Yunus to Military Auditor
The TNI has completed the investigation into four TNI soldiers suspected of throwing acid on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus. The four TNI soldiers have been handed over to the Military Auditor (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta.
“The TNI Puspom investigators have completed the entire investigation process in accordance with applicable regulations. Subsequently, today, Tuesday, 7 April 2026, the case files, the suspects, and the evidence of the criminal assault against Mr AY have been handed over from the TNI Puspom investigators to Otmil II-07 Jakarta,” said TNI Chief of Information Major General (Mayjen) TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah in a statement received on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
Aulia stated that the case files of the four suspects will be examined by the Military Auditor’s office. If deemed complete, the four suspects will be tried at the Military Court.
“Next, the completeness of the formal and material requirements of the files will be examined. If the files are declared complete, they will be handed over to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta,” Aulia said.
Aulia confirmed that there are four suspects handed over to the Military Auditor, namely NDP, SL, BHW, and ES. The evidence of the acid attack was also submitted.
“This handover is part of TNI’s commitment to professional, transparent, and accountable law enforcement, as well as a demonstration of firmness in addressing any criminal acts committed by TNI personnel,” Aulia stated.
As is known, Andrie Yunus became the victim of an acid attack on Thursday night (12/3). The TNI Puspom then arrested four individuals suspected of being the perpetrators of the acid attack on Andrie Yunus. All four are known to be members of the TNI Bais Military Police from the Navy (AL) and Air Force (AU) branches.
“We convey that all four suspected perpetrators are members of the TNI Bais Military Police, not from any specific unit, but from the TNI Bais Denma,” said TNI Puspom Deputy Chief Major General TNI Yusri Nuryanto during a press conference at TNI Headquarters, Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3).
