The healthcare services form part of the TNI’s commitment to continuously assist in overcoming the difficulties faced by the people in operational areas. He stated that the local community was very enthusiastic about the presence of TNI soldiers in their region,” said the Commander of the Territorial Task Force (Dansatgas) Brigadier General TNI Stefie Jantje Nuhujanan on Saturday (9/5/2026). Healthcare services were provided by TNI soldiers from several battalions under the TNI Habema Operational Command as a gesture of care towards the community in remote Papua. They reached residents amid limited access to services in Central Papua on Tuesday (5/5). The healthcare services were held simultaneously in Wangbe, Oksibil, Dugume, Quary Bawah, and Hitadipat. The healthcare team (nakes) consisted of TNI soldiers from Yonif 732, Yonif 753, Yonif 613, Yonif 300, and the Territorial Task Force. The healthcare team, comprising TNI soldiers, directly visited villages and residential areas to provide medical services to the community, who have long struggled to access medical facilities. “The healthcare services provided include general examinations, medical consultations, preventive actions, and health education for all communities in remote Papua,” he said. The activity was warmly welcomed by the community, who took the opportunity to undergo health checks, receive direct treatment, and obtain information on healthy living. The Dansatgas Territorial assured that such efforts would continue so that the people of Papua can still access healthcare facilities and feel secure with the TNI’s presence. “This action is concrete proof that the unity of TNI and the people is not just a slogan, but a manifestation of the state’s presence even in the remotest parts of the country,” he stated. Meanwhile, the Head of TNI Information Service (Kapuspen) Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah conveyed that the healthcare services carried out by TNI Habema Operational Command soldiers represent a tangible form of TNI’s care for the people of Papua, especially in remote areas with limited medical access. “Through these healthcare services, the TNI aims to help the community obtain direct examinations, treatments, and health education, while strengthening the unity between TNI and the people in remote Papua,” said Kapuspen.
