TNI Habema Operational Command Conducts Social Service in Gome District

Commander of Operations (Pangkoops) TNI Habema, Major General Yudha Airlangga, carried out social service activities, including the distribution of basic food packages, healthcare services, and the provision of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) to the people of Gome District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province, on Wednesday (8/4/2026). The activity represents the TNI’s efforts to improve the welfare of the Gome District community.

Major General Yudha, along with his entourage, departed from Mozes Kilangin Airport in Timika, Mimika Regency, to Aminggaru Ilaga Airport in Puncak Regency, using a Caravan aircraft. Upon arrival in Ilaga, the group proceeded directly to Gome District to carry out the social service activities.

In Gome District, Major General Yudha was welcomed by the Head of Gome District, Agustinus Murib, who presented a noken from Papua as a symbol of respect, peace, and brotherhood. Subsequently, Yudha, together with members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Puncak, distributed basic food packages, provided MBG, and offered healthcare services to nearby residents.

The Head of Information for Koops TNI Habema, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Wirya Artha Diguna, explained that the social service activity was highly anticipated by the Gome District community. He was pleased that the TNI’s programme was well-received by the public.

“The people of Gome District feel helped by the presence of the TNI. Moreover, this activity is a form of the state’s care aimed at improving community welfare in the Central Papua region,” said Wirya in a press release in Jakarta on Friday (10/4/2026).
