Jakarta, VIVA – The residence of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah, in the Jalan Radio area of South Jakarta, received tight security from TNI personnel on Wednesday, 8 July 2026.

The security drew attention as it took place amid searches conducted by joint investigators from the National Police’s Corruption and Other Specific Crimes Task Force (Kortas Tipidkor) and the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Greater Jakarta Regional Police at several locations linked to an investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU).

In response, the Head of the TNI Information Centre (Kapuspen) affirmed that security for the Jampidsus’s residence was provided at the official request of the Attorney General’s Office and had followed the applicable procedures.

“Regarding the security for the Jampidsus, it is true that the security was carried out at the request of the prosecutor’s office and was coordinated in accordance with the mechanisms and provisions in force, as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2025 concerning the protection of prosecutors in carrying out their duties. The security is not related to other issues currently circulating,” said the TNI spokesperson, Brigadier General Muhammad Nas, on Thursday, 9 July 2026.

The TNI spokesperson also stressed that the security had no connection to the series of searches currently being conducted by police investigators.

“As for information about searches by the National Police at several locations, that is a separate process and falls under the authority of the National Police,” he said.

As previously reported, the joint investigation conducted by the National Police’s Kortastipidkor together with the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Greater Jakarta Regional Police into several alleged corruption cases continues to develop.

Whereas investigators previously revealed searches at Cafe de’CLAN Signature and Koin Money Changer in the Cipete area of South Jakarta, police have now confirmed that a total of 12 locations were targeted in the searches.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Greater Jakarta Regional Police, Chief Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said the searches were conducted at various company offices and private homes spread across Jakarta, South Tangerang and Bogor.

“The searches were conducted at 12 locations,” Budi Hermanto said in a statement quoted on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
