Jakarta — TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto announced that the TNI is preparing two warships, namely KRI Semarang and KRI Banda Aceh, to assist the public seeking free transport home for Eid 2026.

“The TNI Navy is deploying two KRI vessels: KRI Semarang with routes from Jakarta to Bangka Belitung and back to Jakarta, and KRI Banda Aceh operating routes from Jakarta to Semarang to Surabaya and Jakarta,” said Agus while attending the Operasi Ketupat 2026 military deployment roll call in the National Monument area, Jakarta, Thursday (12 March 2026).

Beyond providing warships for the homecoming, the TNI is also preparing 105,365 personnel to support security operations during the Eid exodus whilst remaining alert to potential natural disasters during the holiday period.

Furthermore, the TNI is mobilising 3,501 units of main weapons systems and operational vehicles to support security and services during the homecoming period.

“The TNI is deploying 3,501 units of equipment consisting of Jihandak vehicles, engineering units, trucks, buses, and ambulances. Naval vessels from the Navy, amphibious vehicles from the Army, and aircraft and helicopters from the Air Force are also included,” he explained.

Agus emphasised that the TNI and National Police must continuously serve the public by providing a sense of security during the Eid exodus and return journey of 2026.

“The TNI and National Police must always be present for the people, providing a sense of security, ensuring smooth travel, and guaranteeing the safety of travellers from various potential security threats and traffic accidents,” said Agus.
