TNI Conducts Organisational Validation; Kodam Jaya to be Led by Three-Star General
Jakarta — The Indonesian Ministry of Defence (Mabes TNI) is conducting an organisational validation of the Kodam Jaya (Jakarta Military Command) unit to ensure it is led by an Army officer of three-star general rank. This was disclosed by the Head of the Defence Ministry’s Information Centre (Kapuspen), Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, when responding to enquiries about the Kodam Jaya organisational validation. “This measure is taken to ensure the TNI organisation remains adaptive to the challenges of dynamic duties,” Aulia stated in a message to journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday. Aulia did not provide detailed explanation regarding the urgency of the Defence Ministry’s validation of Kodam Jaya’s organisation. He only assured that every decision taken by the Defence Ministry, such as organisational validation, position rotation and other technical matters, has undergone careful consideration to strengthen national security. “Every decision is taken based on considerations to support the implementation of the TNI’s core duties,” Aulia said. In the same message, Aulia also confirmed that Kodam Jaya will be led by Major General Deddy Suryadi. Deddy Suryadi currently holds the rank of Major General (two-star) and serves as Kodam Jaya Commander. Although his promotion has been confirmed, the Defence Ministry has not yet been able to confirm when the promotion ceremony for Deddy Suryadi from Major General to Lieutenant General will be held.
