TNI Completes Two Armco Bridges in Tanah Datar

Tanah Datar (ANTARA) - Two Armco bridges in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, were inaugurated and began to be used by the community for daily mobility on Thursday. The two bridges are located in Nagari (village) Tambangan, X Koto Subdistrict, and in Nagari Padang Laweh Malalo, Batipuh Selatan Subdistrict. Commander of Kodim 0307 Tanah Datar, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Agus Priyo Pujo Sumedi, in Batusangkar on Thursday, stated that the construction of the Armco bridges is part of efforts to support regional connectivity, especially in areas that previously faced access challenges due to natural disasters. “Alhamdulillah, these two Armco bridge units have been inaugurated and can now be used by the community. This certainly helps smooth transportation and residents’ activities,” he said. In addition to the two completed bridges, the Dandim mentioned that there are currently two other Armco bridge units under construction with progress nearing 90 percent. The two bridges are located in Nagari Parambahan, Lima Kaum Subdistrict, and in Nagari Tanjung Alam, Tanjung Baru Subdistrict. He hopes that all bridge constructions can be completed soon so that their benefits can be fully felt by the community. “We target that in the near future, these two bridges under construction can also be operational soon, so that community access becomes smoother and the regional economy is boosted,” he said.
