The Kodim 0205/Tanah Karo, together with the TP 904/GM Infantry Battalion, has completed the construction of a concrete bridge in Mardingding District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, connecting Lau Mandin Village and Bukit Makmur Village. The concrete bridge, measuring six metres in length and four metres in width, has been 100 per cent completed and is ready for use by the community, said the Head of Public Relations for Kodam I/Bukit Barisan, Colonel Inf Sandy, in Medan on Friday. Sandy stated that the bridge’s construction represents the Indonesian Army’s support for accelerating infrastructure development in the regions. According to him, the project is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision, which emphasises equitable development reaching remote areas as an effort to strengthen regional resilience and improve community welfare. The construction process was carried out through mutual cooperation by personnel from Kodim 0205/Tanah Karo, Yonif TP 904/GM, and the local community until its completion. The Kapendam expressed hope that the concrete bridge will facilitate smoother public transportation access, ease the distribution of agricultural and plantation products, and support economic, educational, and social service activities. The active involvement of the community in the construction process also reflects the unity between the TNI and the people in realising development that benefits the common interest, he added.
