TNI completes cleaning of SMP Negeri 3 Badiri in Central Tapanuli after subsequent floods

Medan (ANTARA) – The Disaster Management Task Force of Kodam I/Bukit Barisan has completed cleaning SMP Negeri 3 Badiri in Lopian, Badiri District, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, following the region’s subsequent floods. ‘The activity was carried out as an effort to restore the school’s condition after the flood disaster so that teaching and learning can resume actively,’ said Kapendam I/BB Colonel Inf Asrul Kurniawan Harahap in Medan on Friday. Asrul said the cleaning of the school also ensures that the school environment remains safe and clean for students and educators. He said the cleaning of the school is a priority in the recovery of educational facilities affected by the subsequent floods in the area in mid-February 2026. Kapendam said the cleaning activity involved personnel from Koramil 04/Pinangsori under Kodim 0211/TT, together with Yon TP 908/GD personnel and supported by the school. ‘That synergy is intended to accelerate the restoration of educational facilities affected by the floods so that the school environment is clean again, organised, and ready for teaching and learning activities,’ he said. In its implementation, personnel used a range of tools such as sekop (shovels), cangkul (hoes), angkong, sapu (brooms), kuas (brushes), and cat (paint) to remove flood debris and simultaneously improve the school’s environment.
