Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Soldiers from the Indonesian Army’s Kodim 0117/Aceh Tamiang, together with the community, have completed the construction of the Aramco bridge in Tanah Terban Village and Tupah Village, Karang Baru Sub-district, allowing residents to regain proper transportation access. “The construction of this Aramco bridge represents the Indonesian Army’s commitment to assisting the community in the post-disaster period,” said Commander of Kodim 0117/Aceh Tamiang, Lieutenant Colonel Arm Raden Subhi Fitra Jaya, in a statement received in Banda Aceh on Tuesday. Lieutenant Colonel Raden stated that the bridge construction serves as a quick solution to restore inter-regional connectivity, which had previously been disrupted by a natural disaster. “We hope this bridge can be maximally utilised by residents of both villages to support their daily activities, while also accelerating local economic recovery,” he said. Lieutenant Colonel Raden assessed that the bridge is highly vital as it is the main route for residents to transport agricultural produce and for daily community mobility there. Meanwhile, the Head of Tanah Terban Village (Datuk Penghulu) M Jafar expressed his thanks for the swift action by the Kodim 0117/Atam personnel. “We greatly appreciate and thank the Indonesian Army’s Kodim 0117/Aceh Tamiang for their quick response,” he said. Now, residents no longer have to seek longer alternative routes, allowing transport time and cost efficiency to return to normal. “This bridge is very vital for us. Thank you for the full support so that this construction could be completed on time,” said M Jafar.
