TNI Completes Another Armco Bridge for Residents of Bireuen, Aceh
Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Army (TNI AD) has completed the construction of an armco bridge in Kukue village, Peudada sub-district, Bireuen regency, Aceh, in order to help with mobility and boost the economy of communities in the remote area.
“This bridge is expected to provide great benefits to the community, both in supporting daily activities and in encouraging economic growth in the Peudada sub-district,” said the Commander of the 0111/Bireuen Military District, Lieutenant Colonel Arh Luthfi Novriadi, in Bireuen, Aceh, on Friday.
The construction of the armco bridge involved active community participation between personnel from the 0111/Bireuen Military District and local residents, so the work was completed more quickly.
He emphasised that the construction of this infrastructure is a real manifestation of the TNI’s concern for the basic needs of the community. The existence of the bridge is crucial to overcome geographical isolation and accelerate the logistics of residents.
Lieutenant Colonel Luthfi explained that before the armco bridge, transportation access in the area was quite worrying. Residents had difficulty crossing and used a fragile emergency bamboo raft.
He affirmed that this armco bridge is officially a new symbol of accelerated infrastructure and strengthens the unity of the TNI with the people in the westernmost part of Indonesia.
“The unity of the TNI and the people is the key to the rapid and targeted completion of this construction,” said Lieutenant Colonel Luthfi.
“This is an extraordinary gift for our people. Now schoolchildren no longer have to worry when the rainy season comes,” said Erry Seprinaldi.
