TNI Commander Urges Taruna Nusantara Alumni to Adapt to AI and Global Geopolitical Shifts
JAKARTA — TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto has urged Taruna Nusantara Senior High School alumni to become a generation that excels and adapts amid advancements in science, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and global geopolitical dynamics.
He made the remarks during his address at the 34th batch alumni oath-taking ceremony in Magelang, Central Java.
“Advancements in science, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and global geopolitical dynamics demand a young generation that is adaptive, creative, character-driven, and possesses a strong sense of nationalism,” Agus said in a statement on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
The TNI Commander expressed appreciation to all students for successfully completing their education. He noted that the cadets had been moulded into a generation disciplined, of integrity, with leadership qualities, a strong national spirit, and love for the homeland.
“You left the comfort of your families to be shaped in an environment that instils discipline, integrity, leadership, national spirit, and love for the country,” he added.
Attendees included State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali, Dharma Pertiwi Chairperson Evi Agus Subiyanto, Secretary-General of the Defence Resource Development Foundation Major General (Ret) Eddy Syahputra Siahaan, Commandant of the Military Academy Major General Rano M.A. Tilaar, Taruna Nusantara Senior High School Principal, Central Java’s regional leadership and security officials, and other guests.
