TNI Commander urges soldiers to enhance technological capabilities
TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto has called on his personnel to enhance their capabilities in the field of technology in order to adapt to the times. “The increasingly complex challenges of the TNI’s duties today demand that every officer possess strategic insight capable of adapting to technological developments,” Agus said during the commissioning ceremony for 734 TNI Career Officers (PK) for the 2026 fiscal year at the Prima Field, TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, as quoted from an official TNI Headquarters press release on Monday. Agus stated that the development of the primary weapons system (alutsista) now requires personnel to master various aspects of defence technology. He assessed that with strong technological knowledge, personnel will find it easier to study the variety of non-conventional threats that could target the country. He therefore urged these career officers to make the best contribution to the TNI in the field of defence technology development. “For this reason, continue to enhance professionalism and leadership quality, master technology. And always uphold the Sapta Marga, the Soldier’s Oath, and the Eight Mandatory TNI Principles in every act of service,” he said. On this occasion, Agus presented awards to the best male and female students from each branch: from the Army, Second Lieutenant Inf Agus M.D. Simamora and Second Lieutenant Caj (K) Dita Listya Etania; from the Navy, Second Lieutenant (KH) Daffa Reyhan Gymnastiar and First Lieutenant (K/W) Kunthi Tri Haryanti; and from the Air Force, Second Lieutenant Sus Muhamad Bachrul Ferlyanto and Second Lieutenant Kes (W) Vera Septiana Fardani.
