TNI Commander Orders Task Force Commander in Lebanon: Enter the Bunkers
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto issued orders during a video call with the Commander of Task Force Yonmek XXIII-S/UNIFIL in Lebanon on Friday (3/4/2026). The instructions were given in the wake of the deaths of three TNI soldiers while carrying out a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. The three soldiers were Captain Infantry Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Sergeant One Muhammad Nur, and Leading Soldier Farizal Rhomadhon. TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto ordered TNI soldiers participating in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon to remain inside bunkers and stop all activities outside the base. “Maintain the morale of the soldiers there, continue internal security, enter the bunkers, and there are no activities outside,” Agus said, quoted from his personal Instagram account on Saturday (4/4/2026). “Ready, Commander,” replied the Task Force Commander. Agus also stressed the importance of keeping the soldiers’ spirits high amid the heated situation. “And maintain the soldiers’ morale so they remain enthusiastic. Thank you,” he said. “Ready, Commander, we will carry it out,” he replied. At the end of the conversation, Agus once again encouraged the soldiers on duty. “Stay spirited,” he said. “Ready. Thank you for the directions, we convey the commander’s greetings to all soldiers. Garuda Prima!” replied the Task Force Commander.
